It’s interesting to hear about and see the changes an artist makes over a span of time. Mary’s J McInnis continues to do great work you’ll want to see.

Mary J McInnis Artist Statement

I attended several different institutions of higher learning before and after marriage including Seattle Central Community College, Denver Community College, University of Texas at Arlington, culminating in a BFA in Painting at the University of Washington in 1987 where I discovered the joys of pastel painting. Having two children created a need to put away the oils and concentrate on pastels. In 2008, I returned to oil painting and now divide my time between the two mediums, with occasional forays into mixed media. I have recently increased my time at plein air painting in oils, and occasionally give pastel demonstrations for various art groups around the Puget Sound region. I am a signature member of the Northwest Pastel Society, and a member of Peninsula Art League and Plein Air Washington. For the past 25 years I have lived in Port Orchard WA, across the water from my childhood home, with my husband of 35 years.

Gallery 2018 is located in the Council Chambers at Enumclaw City Hall. 1339 Griffin Ave. Enumclaw, WA 98022. Hours for the exhibition space are 9:30 a. m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Enumclaw City Hall is closed on national holidays. Gallery 2018 is closed to the public on Tuesday of each week for municipal court proceedings.
